Let's make this 5th grade year AMAZING! This year in 5th grade we are focusing on so many important concepts in each subject area from Math, Reading, Writing, Word Study, Social Studies, Science, Current Events, Morning & Afternoon Meetings, 21st century skills and more!

Mathematics we are focused on operations & algebraic thinking, numbers & operations in base ten, fractions measurement & data geometry.

Reading and Writing we are focused on reading literature and informational texts as well as reading nonfiction and fiction and working on reading fluency. For writing personal narratives, opinion, persuasive and informative writing.

Science we are working on matter properties and change, force & motion, heat transfer, evolution & genetics, organisms, body systems & processes, ecosystems and investigating weather concepts and systems.

Social Studies we are focusing on behavioral sciences, history, geography, civics & government and economics.
